About Us

Mission Statement

We will bring people to Jesus and membership into His family by developing them to maturity in Christ and equipping them for their ministry in the church body as well as their life's mission in God's world so that we all can magnify God's Name.
We are committed to the five Biblical purposes of the church:
Worship: Celebrating God's presence
Fellowship: Involving People in God's Church
Discipleship: Educating God's People
Ministry: Demonstrating God's Love
Evangelism: Communicating God's Message
PURPOSE: The purpose of our Church is to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commandment. (Matthew 22:34-40 and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
WORSHIP: (Magnification) "To participate in public worship services together and maintain personal daily devotions." (John 4:24)
FELLOWSHIP: (Membership) "To encourage, support and to pray for each other as members of the family of God. To share our lives together. (1 John 1:7, Acts 2:44-47, Hebrews 10:23-25, Romans 15:5-7, John 13:34-35)
DISCIPLESHIP: (Maturity) "To help members develop toward full Christian maturity and train them for effective ministry. To promote personal and spiritual growth, as well as discipleship through Bible teaching". (Ephesians 4:11-13, Matthew 18:20, 2 Timothy 2:2)
MINISTRY: (Service) "To serve unselfishly, in Jesus' name, meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in our Church, community and in the world". (1 Peter 4:10-11, Matthew 25:35-40, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Galatians 5:25) Our Church seeks to benefit the people of the Sierra Foothills by providing opportunities for spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and cultural development. (Luke 2:52)
EVANGELISM/MISSION: (Mission) "To share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world". (Acts 1:8, 2 Peter 3:9)
OurChurch Covenant [ 01|29|06 ]
1. I will protect the unity of my church
...by acting in love toward other members
...by refusing to gossip
...by following the leaders
"So let us concentrate on the things which make for harmony,
and on the growth of our fellowship together" (Romans 14:19)
"Have a sincere love for other believers,
love one another earnestly with all your heart" (1 Peter 1:22)
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful
for building others up according to their needs" (Ephesians 4:29)
"Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your
souls, and they know they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this joyfully
and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit" (Hebrews 13:17)
2. I will share the responsibility of my church
...by praying for its growth
...by inviting the unchurched to attend
...by warmly welcoming those who visit
"To the church--...We always thank God for you
and pray for you constantly (1 Thessalonians 1:1-2)
"The Master said to the servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes,
and urge the people there to come so my house will be full" (Luke 14:23)
"So warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you;
then God will be glorified" (Romans 15:7)
3. I will serve the ministry of my church
...by discovering my gifts and talents
...by being equipped to serve by my pastors
...by developing a servant's heart
"Serve on another with the particular gifts God has give each of you" (1 Peter 4:10)
"[God] gave...some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people
for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up" (Ephesians 4:11-12)
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who...(took on)
the very nature of a servant" (Philippians 2:3-4, 7)
4. I will support the testimony of my church
...by attending faithfully
...by living a godly life
...by giving regularly
"Let us not give up meeting together...but let us encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25)
"Whatever happens, make sure that your everyday life
is worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27)
"Each one of you, on the first day of the week, should set aside a specific sum of money in
proportion to what you have earned and use it for the offering" (1 Corinthians 16:2)
"A tenth of [all your] produce...is the Lord's, and is holy" (Leviticus 27:30)
